Book Box Review: Owl Crate October

I don’t know about you, but long before I started my own bookstagram I found book boxes. And I fell in love with the idea. A brand new (sometimes pre-release) book, several book related items, and usually something from that month’s book all in one (usually super cute) little box. I immediately decided I wanted to try it out, but they’re a little expensive – $30+ a month. So I held off.

Then Owl Crate announced that one of their items this month would be a Harry Potter mug. You wouldn’t know this about me, but I am something of a mug collector. I have a lot. They are all very cute. (No, I don’t have a problem, thank you very much.) I knew from insta-stalking Owl Crate that this mug would have to be very cute as well, so I had to subscribe.

I was not disappointed!

I. Love. This. Mug. I would use it every day. I just don’t know if it’s dishwasher friendly or not, and I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit lazy when it comes to hand-washing stuff. That aside, this is one of my favorite mugs that I own. It’s that great.

This book sounds pretty good. I don’t know that I would have bought it on my own, but now that I do have it, I am excited to read it. Also, is the bookplate (the signed thing) a sticker? I don’t want to bend or scratch at it to find out, but what even is a bookplate?

I think this is the first coaster I’ve ever owned, and I think it’s probably going to be one of my favorites ever. I mean, it’s super cute. Can you tell I have a thing for cute?

I have never used a magnetic bookmark before, so it’ll be interesting to see how they work for me. And they’re so very cute. Where the Wild Things Are was one of my favorite books as a kid (just like everyone else).

This is so gorgeous! Princess Mononoke is by far my favorite animated movie, and this was another selling point for me when Owl Crate announced the theme/what fandoms would be included in the box.

This is such a cute idea to go along with this book! Hopefully someday soon I will have a garden to plant them in!

The one fandom in this box that I have not yet joined. I need to get me a copy of The Raven Cycle and burn this yummy candle while I read it!

I love blueberry tea, and I am super excited to try this in my new super cute mug!

All in all, I would say I am VERY happy with this box! So of course, I will be getting more in the future. 🙂

Are you subscribed to any book boxes? Which is your favorite?
