WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Books to do a little reading plan update.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m almost done with These Violent Delights, and boy is it infuriatingly relevant right now. It’s about a private girls school covering up a male teacher having inappropriate relations with his students. As much as it makes me angry, it is great at showing how horribly society treats victims of this sort of thing/why people who have been sexually assaulted don’t come forward. My full review will be coming soon!
The Nix is okay so far. I don’t really have much else to say.
I’ve just opened 11th Hour, so not much to report yet!
The Nazi Officer’s Wife was an AMAZING story. It’s the type of story that sounds like fiction, as it is so hard to believe someone actually lived it. And it’s amazing how modest Edith seems to be about how amazing she is. Full review coming Friday!
I finally finished The Broken Eye! And it was great! I love how I could pretty much never guess what’s coming.
Children of Icarus was really good. It makes me think of a cross between The Maze Runner and… maybe The Hunger Games? I don’t know. Full review coming next week!
A Murder in Time was not quite what I expected, but it was so good! It pulled me in really quickly, and I love the main character!
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was one I wanted to get to for Halloween, and I would have if I had realized how short it is. I quite enjoyed it, though I’m a little sad that the “bad guy” won. I liked Ichabod.
I’m really looking forward to reading all of these that I have up next. Spindle Fire is a Sleeping Beauty retelling. I Was Anastasia is about Anastasia Romanov and what if she survived. I won The City of Brass in a giveaway, which I think is my first time ever winning a book! It’s about a pick-pocket in Cairo during the Ottoman Empire, and involves magic. And it’s gorgeous!
