WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Books to do a little reading plan update.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m only about a chapter into The Stowaway, but it seems really interesting so far. It’s laying a lot of historical-background-framework, which I always really like in my historical fictions.
Favefever is really good so far too. I keep worrying that Mac is in way over her head, but she keeps kicking butt. Well, mostly. I guess she is still getting her own butt kicked pretty often as well. But I do think some of the big questions are possibly going to be answered in this book! Maybe.
Everless was great! I feel like the main part of this story that’s marketed is that time takes the place of money, but it really seems to amount to the same thing as just using money as money – the poor people struggle for their short lives, and the rich live long. The really interesting part to me was the story of how time became money and the MAJOR twist that is relevant to that.
It was so hard to put Furyborn down. The viewpoints alternated with each chapter, which was really annoying because by the end of the chapter I wanted to keep reading about that first character, which made me read the next chapter for the sake of getting back to them, but then I’d get reinvested in the second character and not want to switch back to the first character and that went on until the end. I thought that the eventual goal of the story was pretty clear from the beginning and had no idea how this was supposed to stretch to a series, but it got a lot more complicated and I’m happy. 🙂 But I’m not happy that this book hasn’t even been released yet and now I have to wait forever for the next one. 😦 Review maybe coming soon. I’m trying.
I was not expecting to like The Drawing of the Three as much as I did. It is the second in Stephen King’s Gunslinger series, and not gonna lie, The Gunslinger did not make any sense to me. I’ve heard a lot of really good things about the series and a lot of people told me to give the second book a chance, so I did and I am so glad I did!
