WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Books to do a little reading plan update.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading:
I haven’t made much any progress on Dumplin’ since last week, but I’ll be picking again as soon as I finish my other book!
I’m only a few pages into Jaclyn and the Beanstalk, but I should be able to finish it today (I mean, I have to. I need to have a review up tomorrow for the blog tour, haha).
Recently Finished:
Five’s Legacy gave some interesting insight into a character I really couldn’t like in the main series. I still don’t love him, but I understand him better.
China Rich Girlfriend, like Crazy Rich Asians, was ridiculous. How can anybody spend money like that, no matter how much they have?! O_O The story was pretty good, but I would have loved to see more of Rachel and Nick. And Astrid.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before really lived up to the hype. It is really freaking adorable. I really need Netflix now so I can watch the movie. 😦
The 17th Shooter was okay. Since I’ve been reading so many good books recently, I’m starting to find James Patterson (or whoever)’s writing pretty flat. It’s a lot of tell tell tell, no show, and really not much description of anything.
I still don’t love The Great Gatsby. I last read it in high school or middle school, and I thought Nick was really annoying. Now I find him less annoying, but I don’t know if it was the writing style at the time, but there is so much that goes left unsaid that I really only understood thanks to the introduction.
The Astonishing Color of After was quite beautiful. I had a really hard time putting it down.
Up Next:
Next up I’ve got Commonwealth, Summer of Salt, and Ship It!
You read so much! I completely agree with your assessment of The Great Gatsby. Glad to hear that To All The Boys I’ve Love Before lived up to the hype. I confess that I’ve seen the Netflix movie before I read the book. The movie is soooo amazing! I have watched it a few times now lol. Here is my WWW post if interested: https://greatmorrisonmigration.wordpress.com/2018/09/05/www-wednesdays-september-5-2018/

I’m glad you have said that about The Great Gatsby. I’ve recently read it and I didn’t understand it much and I’ll have to read the introduction which I didn’t read. Jaclyn and the Beanstalk sounds interesting and I’m looking forward to your review.
