WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Books to do a little reading plan update.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Black Dawn is… well… I don’t really want to keep reading it. I don’t want to say anything else about it for now, as I’m signed up for the tour for the sequel, but if I manage to finish it I will be posting a review eventually.
I’m finally getting around to finishing my reread of the Gemma Doyle trilogy with The Sweet Far Thing. I’ve only just started it, but I’m hoping that then ending makes a little more sense to me this time around.
P.S. I Like You was exactly what you expect from YA romance. Redonkulously cute. It almost made me want to be in high school again. (Okay, not really.) The one thing that I really didn’t like, that I say about just about every YA romance, is *spoiler alert* why do they have to end with an “I love you”? It’s always way too soon. And not every teen romance includes that feeling.
I’ve finally gotten to the first book on the Kitty Pong how to be a rich person reading list (China Rich Girlfriend), Snobs. It was honestly a little dull. It wasn’t bad, but the narrator made such a big deal about what the consequences of Edith’s actions were going to be, and it turned out to be… basically nothing. It was interesting to learn so many “social rules” of the present(ish) day “upper class,” but it got a bit repetitive.
I picked up As Bright As Heaven again, and somehow finished it off in one go. The Ursula thing is something I saw coming from a mile away, but I guess I do like how everything turned out. Happy endings all around.
Best. State. Ever. has got me wanting to move to Florida. I mean, I want to anyway, but I also want to move other places, but this book has got Florida moving on up that list! I pretty much could not stop grinning while reading this. It’s got all the weirdness you expect from Florida, but the author also makes a surprisingly compelling argument for why it’s such a great state.
All my Overdrive holds are still coming in hot, so I’ll be trying to get through at least 3 again this week. Up next I have First Women, Fugitive Six, and The Curse of Tenth Grave.
On my physical shelves, I’ve been being more of a mood reader than usual. I’ve got a TBR pile for the month, but I may not pick any of them up. We’ll see.
What have you been reading lately?
