WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Books to do a little reading plan update.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I still haven’t made any progress on The Count of Monte Cristo or Pleasure Activism, but I plan on picking The Count back up tonight and taking Pleasure Activism to the pool this weekend.
I started World Without End last Friday, and somehow I’m already 70% of the way through it!
The Three Body Problem was a bit different than what I usually read. It was translated from Chinese, which makes it read very different from something originally written in English (or even other European language translations), and parts of it were about parts of Chinese culture/history that I’m very unfamiliar with. So it was a new, interesting, informative read.
I’ve finally finished Victory! I started this in June for a pride month read, and… well, I stretched the pride out haha. 🙂 Before this book, I really had no idea about how much happened in the gay revolution. The author did mention in the epilogue that the title Victory was questioned, as there was still so much the LGBTQ+ community was/is still fighting for. It was published before marriage equality was a nationwide thing in the US, so it is cool to see that progress is still being made.
And I also finished my reread of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. I still love it. 🙂
Next up on my Overdrive is It Gets Worse. I’m hoping to get through at least one physical book as well and pick up Caraval.
